Gent Rushi Trio this Friday

Gent Rushi is considered one of Albania’s jazz pioneers. Lately, in collaboration with fellow musicians he has founded the first Albanian independent jazz band called JAlbaniaZZ Society.
This upcoming Friday he plays in dit’ e nat’ with his good friend and extraordinary musician Ermal Rodi, the duo will be joined by one of the rare musicians who is capable to face them – the drummer Enes Bajramliqi!
This intimate concert is special for another reason too – it’s café-bookshop’s seventh birthday!

See you on Friday, we have great justifications to party hard!

Championship of Synths

Ilir Bajri (47) and Liburn Jupolli (27) are Prishtina pianists that belong to two very different generations of musicians but they seem to successfully meet in their musical explorations in many levels; both of them have a background in classical music, jazz, rock ‘n’ roll, experimental music and both of them are in love with minimalism.
This Tuesday (12th of January) at 9PM they will perform as a duo in their favorite instruments – synthesizers!
See you at the championship of synths – it will be hot!

New Year’s Ritual

The last day of the year for dit’ e nat’ has always been about reflection, compassion, love and a perfect reason for some wild day party. Therefore, few years ago we started a ritual – our musician friends who have honored us playing during the past months begin the city’s celebration early on the 31st of December at  1PM and play for six hours straight!

This time we’ll start with a Jazz Trio – Fatjon Miftaraj (piano), Visar Kuçi (guitar) & Enes Bajramliqi (drums) then continue with some hip-hop by Taste2 & Goblenët and wrap up Nezafete Shala & Family.

See you soon & may all your wishes come true!

“For last year’s words belong to last year’s language
And next year’s words await another voice.
And to make an end is to make a beginning.”

Electrifying Jazz Trio Playing Tonight!

This trio has a powerful chemistry! Ilir and Enes are shadows of one another, continuously backing up or chasing very inspired improvisations; while Dugi uses this bed as trampoline to jump in!

It has been awhile since we listened to them last – Ilir Bajri (piano), Enes Bajramliqi (drums), Dukagjim Muhaxheri (saxophone).

See you tonight, please don’t wear a tie 🙂
